Getting started
How do I start a test session?
Install the Repros Chrome extension and sign in with your Repros account. Open the extension from your toolbar — changes assigned to you are listed under Assigned to you. Click Start testing and the extension opens the build and starts recording.
Why is the extension popup empty?
Testers can only test changes that have been assigned to them, so an empty popup means nothing is assigned to you right now. Ask the project's owner to assign you a change — you'll get a notification when they do.
Why doesn't the recording toolbar appear on my site?
Repros only records on pages whose address matches the project's domain. Check the project's domain pattern in the dashboard matches the site you're testing (including any subdomain), and reload the tab if you installed the extension while it was already open.
Why can't I point a project at my domain?
A workspace has to prove it owns a domain before a project can record on it. Go to Domains in the dashboard, add your domain and add the TXT record it shows you at your DNS provider. Local addresses like localhost don't need verifying.
Accounts and workspaces
It says I'm not part of a workspace.
Your account exists, but you haven't joined a workspace yet. If someone invited you, open your invitations to accept. Otherwise, ask someone in your team with permission to manage people to invite you.
My invite link says it's invalid or has expired.
Invite links can only be used once and expire after a while. Ask whoever invited you to remove and re-invite you from their Team page — you'll get a fresh link.
I've forgotten my password.
Use reset your password and we'll email you a link to choose a new one.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
Yes. Accept each invitation and switch between workspaces from the menu next to the Repros logo in the dashboard.
Changes, review and assigning
Why can't I assign a tester?
Assigning testing is for a project's owner and people with the “assign testing” permission. The change also has to be approved first — if the project requires review, the developer submits it and the owner approves it.
My change says “Sent back”.
The project's owner has reviewed it and needs more before it can be tested. Open the change to read their note, update it, then submit it again.
How do I remove old test sessions?
People who work on a project can archive sessions to tidy them away, or delete them permanently — from the Sessions list (select several) or from a session's own page.
Billing
What happens when my free trial ends?
Your workspace becomes read-only — everything stays viewable, but nothing new can be created until someone with billing access picks a plan on the Billing page. Nothing is deleted.
How do I change plan or cancel?
Someone with billing access can update the payment method, see invoices, change plan or cancel from the Billing page in the dashboard.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
It's kept for 30 days in case you come back, then deleted. See the privacy policy for details.
Privacy and data
What does the extension record?
Only while a test session is running, and only on the project's domain: console output, page navigation, network requests (with sensitive headers and fields redacted in your browser before upload), clicks, screenshots and the notes the tester adds. The privacy policy has the full list.
How do I get our data deleted?
You can delete individual sessions yourself from the dashboard. To delete a whole workspace or your account, email privacy@repros.dev.
